I had a business strategy teacher at Laurentian University named Professor Sina who would use Lexus as an example of how a company can successfully penetrate a new marketplace. In the case of Lexus, he told me that they once had a very simple goal- to build machines as good as Mercedes-Benz, but for a third less.
