New York Auto Show: Mitsubishi

The smallish i has been on sale in Japan and in limited numbers in the UK, and can be considered a sales success. Today, the i makes its first appearance on the North-American auto show circuit. Mitsubishi's i is powered by a 660-cc turbocharged and intercooled 3-cylinder engine, which produces 57 horsepower and 62 lb-ft of torque. It features 4 valves per cylinder with MIVEC variable-valve timing, and provides 0-100 km/h sprints of 14.9 seconds.
