Toronto Auto Show: Mercedes-Benz

Replacing the antiquated (by today's standards) G-Class, the all-new 2007 GL-Class is out to conquer the full-size luxury SUV segment. Loaded with luxury and safety features, the GL can comfortably carry 7 passengers and haul all your gear. Engine selections are impressive. Two Bluetec diesels will be available. The first is a 224 hp 3.2L V6 CDi and the other is a 4.2L V8. The GL 450 will get a 335 hp 4.6L V8 and the GL 550 will be bussed around with a 382 hp 5.5L V8. The only transmission will be a 7-speed G-TRONIC automatic coupled to Mercedes' 4MATIC AWD system.
