Tom Kristensen, Dindo Capello and Allan McNish took victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring aboard their No. 2 R18 TDI, ahead of the sister No. 3 Audi, piloted by Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Loïc Duval.

Which means Audi has taken both their 10th Sebring 12 Hours win and first World Endurance Champion (WEC) victory this season.

It could have been an all Audi podium, had it not been from the transmission problems the No. 1 pole-sitting car suffered from at the end of the sixth hour.

The No. 3 would have also been in contention for the win until the end, if only it had not had those handling problems, nor that get-together with a slower car, near the end of the race.

The Muscle Milk Pickett Racing HPD ARX-03a of Klaus Graf, Lucas Luhr and Simon Pagenaud could have rounded out the podium, but its race was cut-short by refuelling problems.

It was therefore the LMP2 class winning Starworks-HPD car of Enzo Potolicchio, Ryan Dalziel and Stéphane Sarrazin that took third spot, in a close fight with the Level 5 Honda-powered P2 HPD of Scott Tucker, Chris Bouchut and Joao Barbosa.

They played it cool all week, staying under everyone's radar, but it was eventually the BMW Team RLL that took away the win of the highly-contested GT class - thanks to the consistent drive of Joey Hand, Dirk Müller and Jonathan Summerton. They were followed by the Corvette C6.R of Magnussen, Garcia and Taylor, and the Bertolini-Beretta-Cioci Ferrari F458 Italia.

Canadian Louis-Philippe Dumoulin finished 35th overall, aboard his Alex Job Racing GTC Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
