disdain the traditional dealership experience and are looking for a bigger car.

"The Saturn retail experience consistently ranks at the top of customer surveys," explains Cynthia Trudell, the Canadian-born chairman and president of Saturn, "with Saturn besting even luxury brands in the last four J.D. Power and Associates sales satisfaction surveys. Thanks to their intelligent design, high resale value and low parts prices, Saturns also consistently rank as the best overall value in third-party research."As for the actual product, which will be known as the LS (for the sedan) and LW (for the wagon), a certain amount can be said.

Trudell promises that the Saturn L-Series will feature "excellent performance, class-leading safety features and low ownership cost," when it goes on sale this summer.

As with all Saturn models, Trudell says, the main target of the L-series will be "customers now shopping popular mid-size imports."

With an overall length of 4836 mm, the LS and LW are supposed to "fit comfortably into the mid-size class," Trudell says.

"The new models feature Saturn's dent-resistant polymer body side panels, which help keep Saturns looking new longer," she says, which "contribute to strong resale values."

Inside, the L-series has "a spacious interior with logical, easy-to-use controls and seats designed for all-day comfort."
