The interior is much better designed than the Aztek's. Actually, the Aztek is destined to much younger buyers. Buick's interior is more luxurious and much more reserved. The dashboard has great looking instrumentation but the silver dials combined with green needles might make reading a little difficult. On the other side the HVAC controls are easy to manipulate on both versions (the CXL has dual area temp)

The front seats are comfortable and the middle console is well designed (it can even hold your laptop). The center row seats are fine too but you have to bring them forward to allow the usage of the third row seat. The latter is good for smaller people, short trips or kids. But that's about it. There is a limit in the headroom but it is reasonable.

All in all, I liked the Rendezvous. It is a well-designed, well-built and well suited to people who are looking for a much more sophisticated minivan or an original Buick. Canadian prices show that the base front-wheel-driven CX model will go for $30,995, the all-wheel-driven CX for $34,995 and the top of the line CXL (all-wheel-drive) for $40,095. Yes, Buick has succeeded into building a great new vehicle and no, it is not an overdressed Aztek.
