The strongest point of this convertible is its roomy interior. Front bucket seats are comfortable enough but rear space is so good that three people can easily sit with ample leg room. I especially liked the seat mounted belts that were never in the way. The dashboard is certainly not complicated while instrumentation is clear and easy to read. But as far as design is concerned, I might add that it was not impressive, just good.

The roof is easily brought down after releasing the hatches at the windshield post. A simple one-button operation allows the windows to go down and the top to retract in its storage space. The rear trunk still offers a good 11.3 cubic feet of cargo with the top down. Also, the fabric inside the roof insulates exterior noise when the top is closed.

On the road, the Sebring convertible is a nice car to drive. Its size is not too intimidating not to drive it in the city. When the top is closed, rear visibility is more difficult. But when the top is down, naturally, the driver gets to see all around. I found the front windshield posts were pretty large and that did not help the view. The new Sebring is very well built as I heard no rattle or body noise while driving it (except a funny clicking sound when turning the steering wheel!) . Unfortunately, there still is some body shake mostly noticeable when the top is down. It is a phenomenon I also encountered on some more expensive automobiles.

To my liking, I thought fuel consumption was pretty decent and in general I felt satisfied with the Sebring's road handling, steering and braking. Just before taking delivery of this Limited convertible, I drove a sedan version of the Sebring that I liked...just a little more. That car felt more solid to me. But then, the top didn't come down to let me enjoy the most beautiful days of late summer.
