While the Sebring has three trim designations, LX, LX Plus and top-line LXi, it comes with loads of standard equipment as a base model. Standard power features include locks, windows, heated mirrors and trunk release. Air conditioning, tinted glass, tachometer, cruise control, tilt steering, engine block heater and an engine immobilizer - new for 2002 - are included at no premium as well. A 4-speaker AM/FM audio system now comes standard across the line with a single CD player instead of last year's cassette, while an Infinity system with a 4-disc dash-mounted CD player and cassette is optional on all models. The LX Plus model adds an upgraded headliner, remote keyless entry and 8-way power driver's side seat with manual lumbar support. The LXi improves on these features with fog lamps, leather seats with folding front armrest as well as a leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob.

Also, the top model gets a touring suspension, basically a beefed up version of the already fully-independent system with larger diameter front and added rear stabilizer bars to compensate for the extra weight of the heavier 2.7-L engine. This version also gets P205/60TR16 all-season tires on 16-inch alloy wheels, up from the standard P205/55TR15 tires on 15-inch steel wheels with covers. New for 2002, a sport-tuned suspension, with a 'firm-feel' steering variation of the already good power-assisted rack-and-pinion system, is available as an option. Also 16-inch chrome aluminum wheels can be ordered optionally, and they look stunning. Incidentally, if you move up to the regular 16-inch alloys Chrysler will throw in a 4-disc in-dash CD changer at no charge. Nice freebee, no? Other options are available as well like a security alarm, trip computer, power sunroof and heated front seats.
