The base cars handling is also quite impressive, although it's tweaked more toward comfort than the sport-tuned SE-R. Its rear multi-link beam suspension, rigid subframe and rear stabilizer bar allow for a reasonable compromise between athletic handling and a smooth ride. Four-wheel disc brakes are standard too, but ABS is optional, as are side-impact airbags.

Whether choosing the well equipped base XE or the more luxurious GXE, or for that matter opting for the performance oriented SE-R or super-hot Spec V version, the Sentra won't disappoint. Nissan has delivered a lot of car for the money, with better than average reliability and quality workmanship.
