But as intriguing as its high-tech engineering is, the part of the Mustang equation that will cause unbridled enthusiasts across North America - and Europe if FoMoCo decides to make it happen - to flood the Dearborn company's showrooms is once again styling. Both the coupe and convertible concepts unveiled in Detroit have the potential to be modern classics, respectful of their past while embodying a clean, uncluttered vision of the model's future.
If the previously mentioned unnamed Ford employee is correct, and the car before us is indeed 95% true to the next generation Mustang, then there's reason to get excited. And with this in mind, Ford, I have four words for you to contemplate... don't mess with it.
