Standard equipment in the RT includes a rich sounding Boston Acoustics 6-disc in-dash audio system and wonderfully supportive, leather wrapped seats. Under the tutelage of DaimlerChrysler, Dodge has done a remarkable job assembling the interior. Fit and finish is drum tight, with noteworthy accuracy.

The "chopped roof" appearance does not impede headroom in the Magnum, being more than adequate by North American standards. Unique to the Dodge wagon is a one-piece tailgate that is hinged approximately 50 centimeters (20 inches) into the roofline, allowing it to swing high enough to shelter from the elements beneath, while not causing the need to move backward out of the way when lifting. It also makes it possible to get open when parked bumper to bumper with another car, something conventional liftgates can't accommodate.
