The new car gets a number of exclusive exterior upgrades over the conventionally powered Accord, including a distinctive front grille design, modified taillight treatment and hybrid badges of course. Additionally Honda will add a rear trunklid spoiler and unique aluminum alloy wheel design.

Honda is justifiably bullish on the new Accord Hybrid's potential in our current HEV friendly market.
"Putting hybrid technology into the Accord is a further indication of Honda's commitment to expanding our hybrid technology," stated Kalim Ansari, executive vice president of Honda Canada Inc. "The Accord hybrid is a no compromise, fully featured sedan with both increased performance and higher fuel economy. It puts hybrid technology into the Accord package, which has always been a favorite among Canadians - the best selling intermediate car last year."
While it will be a bit more expensive than a conventially powered Accord, that's the price of doing the right thing. And even if you're not on the holier than thou environmentalist bandwagon, at today's fuel prices the Accord Hybrid shouldn't take too long to pay itself back in spades at the pump. Now that's a modern day symbiotic relationship. Honda, you've done us proud.
