The new 911 Carrera and Carrera S Cabriolet will be available with the same 3.6- and 3.8-litre engines as its coupe counterpart. With a new top that is designed with ultra-light materials, the convertibles are not be penalized performance-wise compared with the hardtop coupe. This was not the case for the outgoing 996 Cabriolet. Because both the Coupe and Cabriolet were designed in parallel, their structures were engineered with superior torsional rigidity. Optional on the Carrera and standard on the Carrera S, Porsche's P.A.S.M. (Porsche Active Suspension Management), which uses active damper technology that can offer both a comfortable and a very sporty ride.

The new 911 return to 993 styling cues such as the separated headlamps and turn signals. Both Carreras are treated to new revised body panels, bumpers and wheels. Regardless of the changes, the 911 remains instantly recognizable.

I want one. What more could I add. It is an Icon in the truest sense of the word to which all other sports cars are measured.
