Conclusion

Being the best at what you do is very difficult. Staying on top and continuously being the best is even harder. Having driven nearly all of its direct competitors, I can safely say that the 2006 3-Series still offers the finest and most complete compromise (without any) between luxury, prestige, quality and driving enjoyment.

My English is not eloquent enough to properly describe the oneness, the unity that the driver feels with the machine. Driving this car is like winning an Emmy; it is truly rewarding and satisfying.

215 hp a little sheepish
