Safety

The H3 has standard dual front, optional side curtain air bags, ABS brakes, traction and stability control, Onstar and seatbelt pre-tensionners. The NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) awarded the truck 5 out of 5 stars (a perfect result) for the driver and 4 out of 5 stars (a good result) for the passenger in frontal impacts. The Hummer received 5 out of 5 stars in lateral impacts. The IIHS has not yet rated the H3.

Conclusion

Many people ask themselves whether we need more SUVs on the road. This is questionable. However, they are still coming and people are still buying them. For those that are looking for this type of vehicle, the Hummer is perhaps one of the most interesting.

The H3 is an un-identical twin to the GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado pickups. These trucks are still relatively new on the market and have yet to prove themselves. Therefore, reliability is unknown and since only a select few dealerships can perform maintenance on these trucks, this could prove to be an obstacle for the Hummer and its owners.

Interior styling + fit and finish

Not so good stuff:

Needs a 6-cylinder
Needs a 5th-gear
Visibility
Fuel consumption
