Alright, alright, before you go and get yourself a Mazda dealership, what else out there can take on the Mazda?
Ahh, here's the Mazdaspeed6's trump card: With a base price of $35,995, the only options are leather and a moonroof, packaged up for an

additional $2,800 (oh yeah, there's a touch up paint pen for $11.07, forgot about that). That's it. Unique 18-inch tires and wheels, front and rear bumpers, side sills, body-coloured front grille and rear lip spoiler, Xenon headlights, fog lights, AM/FM 6-disc in-dash CD changer with a six-speaker and subwoofer Bose audio system, leather-wrapped steering wheel and custom shift knob are all standard. And keep in mind; the Mazdaspeed6 is built in Japan, not in the Flat Rock, Michigan plant where the Mazda6 and Ford Mustang are made. The Mazdaspeed6's only real competition comes from Subaru's Legacy GT at $36,795. But for car zealots, the Mazda is more nimble, just a bit edgier, and more alert than the more conservative Subaru.
