Combined with optional 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in high-performance rubber, and three new exterior paint schemes which include Dark Cherry for the 6 Sedan (pictured) and Sport Wagon, Bright Island Blue for the 6 Sport hatchback, and Tungsten Gray (for all models), the updated 6 carries the same sporty demeanor, but with particular emphasis on refinement and classiness.
While there have been few qualms about the 6's efficient and trendy interior, the brand felt that it could improve on a few particular areas relating to appearance and comfort. The overall layout will remain the same,

complete with generous interior dimensions and trunk space, but the front seats are redesigned with better padding and bolsters for extra support, and higher quality fabrics for cloth-trimmed seats have been included. Completely redesigned door panels feature better padding, new, round speakers and grip-type handles for easier opening and closing. Mazda has also replaced the tacky metallic plastic finish of the centre console with Dark Titanium trim, which covers the HVAC controls and the integrated stereo system. A voice-activated navigation system will be available as an extra-cost option.
