Coupe de grace
Despite the fact that the test car I was driving was a fairly drab bronze colour, it attracted a huge amount of attention from onlookers. Many people initially didn't know what it was, but as soon as they spotted the car's badges, they nodded in approval.

The emblem in the centre of the steering wheel says a lot.

In terms of interior design, I'm also not a big fan of the Z4-inspired look, but it's not a deal-breaker. One significant complaint, though: The pedals are too far away and/or the shift lever is too close for my dimensions. This is, of course, a personal complaint and not necessarily a design flaw. It is, however, something that I find common to all BMW cars fitted with manual transmissions.

A winner, through-and-through
With all its positive attributes, it's little wonder that the 2007 BMW M Coupe is, in the final analysis, a truly superb sports car. While the car's base price is considerable ($68,900), it's a relative bargain in comparison to the sheer amount of joy it will bring its owner as soon as that wonderful engine springs to life. Buy one today, enjoy it for years to come.
