SE combines sporty coupe styling with refinement and value
Value and sensibility
The Accord Coupe SE rates high on my value scale. For starters, its energetic four-banger converts 9.1 and 6.4 litres of regular fuel into 100 kilometres of city and highway driving respectively. Add to that a full complement of standard airbags, including side airbags and side-curtain airbags, and you'll begin to appreciate the "value" quotient.

The Accord Coupe offers plenty of value.

Additional standard fare includes an immobilizer and theft-deterrent system along with air conditioning, cruise control, power everything, steering wheel-mounted controls, 6-disc in-dash CD and a tilt/telescopic steering wheel. Adding practicality to the entire package is a 60/40-split folding rear seat and attractive 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.

Will $26,500 buy a better-bred coupe than the Accord Coupe SE? Unlikely but other similarly-priced examples exist, such as Hyundai's edgier Tiburon and Pontiac's slightly larger G6.
