In the spring of 2006, Honda dealers will be storing tiny Honda Fits. Scarcely larger than the original Civic from over 30 years ago, the Fit will be the car for those looking for exceptional fuel economy and versatility.

Two body styles will be available: a 4-door sedan and a 5-door hatchback. Trim levels will include a base model and a Sport package with fog lights, alloy wheels and a skirt kit. Under the hood will be a 1.5L I-4 producing 109 hp and 105 lbs-ft of torque. Transmission choices will be between a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic with paddle shifters.

The Fit will have the most standard features in its category including air conditioning and 6 air bags.  Competition to the Fit will be the Toyota Yaris, Chevrolet Aveo / Pontiac Wave, Hyundai Accent and the Kia Rio.

Pricing in the United-States will start at US$13,000.
