We love the RX-8 for its handling and its good looks, but we don't care too much for its tight cockpit that offers poor outward visibility. And at $44,500, I'd rather spend a few dollars more a month and get myself a G37 which is more powerful and, in my opinion, better-looking.
The base RX-8 GS, at $37,195, is more reasonable and apart from the stability control system, it doesn't sacrifice anything really essential compared to the GT. The RX-8 represents the true definition of a sports car, because it's light and offers brilliant driving dynamics, and if the cockpit pleases you despite its shortcomings, you'll have a lot of fun behind the wheel.
