Spoiling the Crew
Shortcommings
There's very little not to like about the new Tundra Crew Max however some prospective buyers may find its small'ish box length of approximately 1700-mm (5.5-ft) undesirable. Yet others will embrace the truck's shorter overall length, which in this case is 5,809-mm (228.7-in). One further shortcoming that is to be expected when generating such immense power resides in the world of fuel consumption.

Toyota could benefit from offering a smaller engine.

Toyota rates the Crew Max at 16.8 and 11.9 litres of fuel per 100K of city and highway driving respectively (17/24-mpg). City driving is definitely hard on the pocketbook at today's fuel prices, which begs the question; does one need all that power? Unfortunately, the Tundra's smaller engines (V8 and V6) are not available in the Crew Max.

Wrapping-up
Power, refinement and interior expansiveness define the 2007 Toyota Crew Max Limited. Safety, occupant protection and off-road-ability are also worthy of mentioning. Depending on option packages, the Crew Max delivers fully in these aspects as well; and at $55,105 CA for a max'ed-out version, it should. The base Crew Max can be snared for $41,660 CA.
