Audi's highly-anticipated Porsche 911-fighter is coming very soon. On Monday, the supercar's Canadian pricing was announced.
Pitted against the likes of the aforementioned 911 and other such cars as the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, BMW M6, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG and Jaguar XKR, the R8 already impresses many automotive publications.
With a starting price set at $139,000, the mid-engined, Quattro AWD-equipped aluminum sports car will almost look like something of a bargain compared to some of its competition, given its high level of technology and equipment.
The R8 features a normally-aspirated 4.2L V8 that develops 420 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. The R8 accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in a brisk 4.6 seconds on its way to a top speed of 301 km/h.
