The suspension is stiff, which can be slightly uncomfortable, but reacts very well in corners. It's actually one of the major players in this car's extraordinary handling. The handling is superb, and it's surprising how fast the car can enter curves. Always very stable, it is truly designed to be enjoyed on a track. Confidence behind the wheel is guaranteed.

There's the urban go-kart, the Mini Cooper S ($29,900), the Audi A3 3.2 S-Line Quattro ($45,700), which only comes in a 5-door version, the Volvo C30 T5 ($31,995) and finally the Volkswagen GTI ($27,975), which lacks the prestige of its competitors but makes up for it in performance.
Conclusion
This car is the embodiment of driving pleasure. It's still a toy, albeit a useful and practical one. Its price tag isn't for everyone, but at least it's one of the more affordable BMWs. With the 135i, BMW has pulled out all the stops, with resounding success.
