Turn the system on, stop the car, and check for nearby traffic cops. If the coast is clear, floor the clutch and gas, enjoy the launch-rev limiter sound effects, and jump off the left pedal.
At redline, leave the gas pedal on the floor and shift as quickly as you can. It takes some getting used to, but it can allow for lighting fast acceleration accompanied by race-car sound effects when the ignition cut generates a series of loud 'pops' from the tailpipe.
It's all normal, and covered by a 160,000-kilometer warranty, by the way. You can use it as much as you like too, since GM's performance vehicle engineers have built it strong enough to withstand regular beatings.
