Not a boat
Let's make things clear: when I wrote that the Armada requires practice and carefulness due to its size, I certainly did not mean that it behaves like the Titanic on the road. The ride is firm and comfortable at the same time. Road imperfections are beautifully dealt with and passengers don't get tossed around even on the roads less travelled.
The biggest downside, for the driver, is a slightly vague steering that somewhat hesitates before inducing a change of direction. As a result, handling is a bit limited and significant understeer is felt when throwing the big Armada into tight corners. Fortunately, the brakes are highly effective at effortlessly delivering confidence-inspiring stops.
So, while its size is rather overwhelming, the 2008 Nissan Armada is a capable truck for sure. Of course, more power, flexibility and operational refinement would have been appreciated, but for most truck enthusiasts out there, the Armada undoubtedly delivers the goods.
