The 2008 Legacy and Outback will get redesigned front fascias, but the most significant change is the addition of the 3.0L flat-six engine in the Legacy. With the same engine that's currently found in the top-line Outback wagons, the Legacy 3.0R will get Subaru's SI-DRIVE as well as VDC stability control. The Outback 3.0R also gets the SI-DRIVE for 2008. By the way SI-DRIVE is manipulated through a rotary knob on the center console. It controls throttle input between Intelligent, Sport and Sport-Sharp.
These 2008 models will be on sale this coming summer.
