The Volkswagen R32 is the ultimate version of the hot-hatch GTI. Volkswagen has shoehorned the company's 3.2L narrow-angle V6 into the engine bay much like the previous mk4 R32 that we never got in Canada. Completing the powertrain will be a DSG twin-clutch transmission and the 4MOTION AWD system. Expect the interior to feature sporty seats and many luxury touches. There are rumors out there that hint at a Super R36 which would feature the Passat's 280 hp 3.6L V6. Let us hope that they are not only rumors. 3 and 5-door body styles will be available.
