The runner up?
Ultimately, F-150 makes a comfortable, capable and handsome-looking work solution. So why'd it come in second place? Where'd Ford go wrong?

Thing is, they didn't.

F-150 didn't take second because it was flawed or compromised--it took second because Dodge went overboard.

The F-150 makes a comfortable, capable and handsome-looking work solution.

It's the Ram with the landslide performance advantage, more surprising features, sports-car brake feel, and interior trim that's sure to set a new standard. Its cabin is easier to use, and the cool factor covered nicely with huge wheels, dual exhaust, oversized badges and the like. Comparably equipped, the Dodge even costs several thousand dollars less.

Thing is, where the Dodge sets standards in comfort, power, materials and innovation, Ford's been focusing on increasing towing capacity, utility and the overall workability owners can expect from their machine.

Of course, this doesn't mean the Dodge is afraid to work, or that the Ford is cheaply made and uncomfortable. In fact, for many in the market without die-hard brand loyalty, it'd be a tough call choosing between the pair.

Of course, that just means you'll have to try both for yourself.
