During my road test, I didn’t necessarily go easy on this little fun monger, but despite the available power, the AWD and lots and lots of enthusiasm on my part, it didn’t gobble more than 10.5 litres per 100 km on average.

The Ralliart will do battle with the Mazdaspeed 3 (263 hp from $32,995), the Subaru Impreza WRX hatchback (224 hp from $31,895) and the five-door Volkswagen GTI (200 hp from $28,975). As for the Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Ralliart, it starts at $33,498.
Conclusion
I really had a fantastic week behind the wheel of the Sportback Ralliart. Only two minor issues came up: no matter my speed, I always wanted more, and it was particularly good at attracting people’s attention, especially the kind of people that hand out speeding tickets.
