The handling and performance are largely appropriate for the intentions and size of the car, and the steering is quick and eager. Rough surfaces can coax excessive noise from the suspension, though.
Of course, Wave isn't set up for feats of extreme handling-- but it hasn't ditched any and all efforts to be enjoyable. It's also amusingly easy to manoeuvre and park, too.
