Rivals consist of the Lincoln Navigator, the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, the Infiniti QX56 and the Lexus LX 570. The $70K GL350 BlueTEC, which isn’t as equipped as the hybrid Caddy, is the only one of the bunch that comes close to matching it in regards to fuel economy. In fact, the most serious threat to this Escalade is its near-twin, the GMC Yukon Denali Hybrid, which costs $80K.

The Cadillac Escalade Hybrid is a nicely furnished, nicely equipped luxury SUV that offers a great ride and non-negligible fuel savings. It’s got some issues, such as the tight rear-seat accommodations. The biggest problem, in our opinion, is the asking price of the Escalade; however, if your heart is set on one, you might as well choose the Hybrid.
