Paris will give Hyundai a chance to show off its eco-focused Blue Drive programme, with goals of global leadership in environmental technology and emissions reduction.
The ix20, Hyundai's new multi-purpose-vehicle is entering production and should hit showrooms by November after its Paris debut.
The compact MPV, a sister car to Kia's Venga, will share the Venga powertrains (1.4 and 1.6 gasoline engines and a 1.4 litre diesel) but with Hyundai's "fluidic sculpture" design language.
The ix20 will be protected by a 5-year, unlimited mileage warranty.
Also on the dais, inspired by 2007's Veloster Concept, the new Hyundai Coupe is a short-coupled, 2+2 coupe with asymmetrical doors: one on the driver's side, and two on the passengers for easy rear access.
An available twin-clutch transmission channels power from the 140 hp, 1.6 L Theta engine, with a 200 hp, 1.6 litre version to follow.
