Toyota's minivan is big on space and power
Room and goodies galore
Inside, the tester ticked most of the boxes needed to qualify it as fully-loaded. Dual-zone automatic climate control, heated leathers seats, an upgraded JBL stereo system and a sunroof were all on board. Power sliding doors, a partially-motorized tailgate and rear-seat climate controls were fitted, too.

Second row seats tumble forwards easily-- increasing floor space or ease of access to the third row as needed.

Navigation and All Wheel Drive were not in attendance—though both are available if shoppers don’t mind pushing the Sienna’s price north of $50,000.

The most appreciated attributes on your correspondent's test-drive dealt with the size and layout of the Sienna's interior. There's a compartment everywhere you need one-- including some built into the front door-mounted arm-rests, a flexible center console, and a cupholder in each door.

The center stack houses a pop-out cupholder, a storage cubby and a drawer, too. I could go on-- but suffice to say, you'll find more than adequate facilities to keep all your things organized on the move. Wallets, sunglasses, phones, charger cables, loose change and other pocket-sized items can all be stored easily out of sight.

Second row seats fold flat and tumble forwards easily-- increasing floor space or ease of access to the third row as needed. There's also a deep cargo well behind the third row of seats. You'll almost want to go shopping for large items just to play with the numerous seating and cargo configurations.

A slightly dated look
Complaints of the interior were mainly styling related. Some switches, controls and displays appear dated compared to more modern competitors like the Chrysler Town and Country. The tester also got wood interior trim, though passengers quickly noted it to be too fake in appearance and too abundant in quantity.

End of the day, the interior atmosphere proved upscale, luxurious, plush and comfortable. It’s like walking into a nicely organized living room on wheels, and there were no issues with quality, materials, entry or exit to report.

Power from the 3.5 litre V6 engine was a nice surprise.
