Will we see more “Eco” models?
Paul Hewitt, GM Canada's Product Manager for Cruze, Orlando and (Buick) Verano, noted that Chevrolet is definitely looking at more Eco offerings.
But he also added: "As CAFE ratings become more important, these technologies will have to roll into all of our offerings… There might be no room for Eco models, because you’ll have regular IC engine vehicles with all these and other technologies in them, and you’ll have hybrids of various forms. So it’s hard to say if you'll see more ‘Eco’ out of us in the future.”
