Overall driveablity is quite inspiring for a vehicle of this magnitude, which underwrites an enjoyable experience behind the wheel.

Business-like cabin
But pleasure behind the Sierra’s wheel isn’t derived from an upscale cabin as it is in Ford’s Super Duty line of pickups. GM’s living space is laden with unattractive plastic surfaces in contrast to the more appealing furnishings in the Ford.

How important a fancy cabin is to the end user is a matter of need and taste. It’s certainly not a deal breaker in my mind but GM may want to do a little renovation work inside the Sierra to eliminate its low rent trappings. My tester’s MSRP was inked at $69,365. For that kind of outlay, I’d appreciate classier environs.

It’s worth noting though, that GM is presently offering a cash credit of $6,000 and a custom cash credit of $1,000 on its Sierra 2500HD, which would bring my tester’s MSRP down to $62K and change – making its MSRP somewhat more inline with its cabin austerity.
