Competition includes the Acura RDX ($40,490), the Audi Q5 ($41,200), the BMW X3 ($41,900), the Cadillac SRX ($41,950), the Land Rover LR2 ($44,950), the Volvo XC60 ($44,495) and a whole bunch of other leather-lined, 6-cylinder, all-wheel drive crossovers and SUVs.
It’s not a truck, it’s not a wagon; the EX35 manages to round up the best of those two vehicle categories. Whether we like the term of not, that’s what crossovers are all about. This might be the best all-around Infiniti, and its timing couldn’t be better; speedy, luxurious, arguably reasonable on fuel, room for the 2 kids and, despite not being a bargain, competitively priced. Personally, I’d go for the Journey package, drop the rest, and end up with a price tag under $45K.
