The Lexus' ride is peppered with poise and purpose. The suspension setup soaks up scared surfaces in strides. It will, just as well, keep the RX on track at highway speeds all the while smartly damping weight transfers in corners. It's no German performance CUV, but it can hold its own.
Brakes and braking prowess' are genuinely good. The average buyer of the RX will realistically find no fault in the way it behaves on the road. Steering is somewhat on the lighter side with minimal road communication, but this is, once again, in line with what this CUV is.
Now, if I am to be forthcoming and honest, this Lexus is for the 50+ crowd. This is generally the case with Lexus' line-up save for the CT 200h and so, if you're young, trendy and well-to-do, you will most likely not find what you are looking for here. In the $60,000 (as tested) range, the sea holds many other fish, namely the BMW X3 and Infiniti FX.
Be that as it may, if you're looking for a little slice of heavenly peace on four wheels, the RX will fit the bill.
