Lincoln's catch phrase for the MKZ is: “Lasting gratification.” I pondered the meaning of this expression for a few moments, and it partially gave me the inspiration for this review, which isn't saying much. Although I cannot find any serious faults with this car, in itself it is not very inspiring. I interpreted the catch phrase as “you'll like your car for a long time,” which once again stirs no emotions. Perhaps the MKZ is not meant for that type of buyer.
The Hybrid version is a rare viable alternative as it retails for only $3,800 (just under $42k) more than the base V6-powered MKZ. There are insignificant compromises to be made when purchasing this car and along with comfort, peace of mind and a tad of luxury, if you're careful enough with the throttle, you may save on gas as well.
