Little 2 on the road
The amount of fun I had during my week-long test of this 2 was surely illegal. In fact, on many occasions, it was. 100 hp can get you well up to speed (0-100 km/h in about 11 seconds) especially if you're already moving along on the highway. A dextrous pair of feet and a quick hand on the shifter will see to that.
The most amazing mechanical component of the car is its steering. Not electric but good-old hydraulic with speed-sensitive assist, how the 2 turns is bar-none the best in its category. Herein lies the essence of zoom-zoom. Responsive, quick and precise, the way the 2 changes direction is phenomenal and rewarding. I found myself carving every corner I could take.

Although light on its toes, the 2 remains stable on the highway, only marginally affected by crosswinds. My lowered car felt all the more planted but I did drive a regular from Montreal to Toronto a while back.
Little 2 for you?
Certainly, if you are looking for fun, not spending too much time at gas pumps (fuel tank holds only 42.8L) and wanting to keep costs down (base price is $13,995), the 2 is for you.
However, if you're always carrying friends and gear, a Honda Fit or a Ford Fiesta may be a better fit.
Although I loved my modified 2, I'm not sure I'd spend the roughly four grand to get it to this point. As is, the 2 really is quite nice.
