Don't tell my Subaru...
From the hood vents to the blacked out front grille housing the massive front-mount intercooler; angular jowls, shoulder line and wheel fenders, and the almost-comical rear wing (that, by the way, takes up the entire rear window), it's all a bit... much. Some might think the Subaru STI is just as brash and in-your-face, but I recommend you park the two next to one another and take another look. Or maybe I am just being a bad journalist in all of this...

The age-old debate rages on
By the end of my week behind the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR, I was shocked to realize that, yes, I did enjoy it. After years of Mits-bashing (as any good Subaru owner is apt to do), I almost felt bad admitting that I quite enjoyed the EVO and would even consider it as a daily driver in the future (if they fix those few niggling details that got under my skin).

With a price tag starting in the low $40,000s this is not a cheap ride, however, if you're in the market for a vehicle that's practical (to a certain extent) with a bit of a wild side, don't disregard the Mits EVO (but don't forget to test drive a Subaru STI or WRX while you're at it, too).
