It is easy to change gears with either the steering wheel mounted paddle shifters or the console mounted gear stick.
In normal drive mode, this car is quite fun to drive. With the flick of a switch, I put it in Sport mode and it makes me smile. The Sport mode has higher shift points that gives instant throttle response and very fast shifting. I can really feel the improved performance in this mode.

The Subaru WRX has a 5-speed manual transmission and there are no plans to deliver an automatic anytime soon.
The Ralliart gets good gas mileage. Its posted fuel economy is of 11.9 L/100km in the city and 7.9 litres on the highway. Compare this to the MazdaSpeed3 that gets 13 L/100km in the city and 9.4 litres on the highway.
The Ralliart comes with full time All-Wheel Drive Control featuring Mitsubishi’s Active Differential System. It controls the torque to both the front and rear wheels, determining the best balance between traction and steering response depending on driving conditions.
Other than the plain interior, this Ralliart is a great drive. It gives me a sporty 4-door car and I feel very confident with the AWD system.
The twin-clutch Sportronic transmission is a huge feather in the Ralliart's cap. I found the MazdaSpeed 3 to be more enjoyable but I wonder how much of this pleasure of driving this Ralliart was put off with the uncomfortable seats?
The base Lancer doesn’t really do much for me. With the Lancer Ralliart, you get an AWD sport sedan that has great handling and is exciting to drive. And what the heck, I would add on the Premium package with that amazing sound system and Recaro seats for an even sportier feel.
