Can It Get Much Better Than This?
Next to the exhaust button is another of my favourite buttons. The Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). It comes as standard equipment and allows the driver to select between ‘normal’ and ‘sport’.

Normal gives a nice blend of comfort and performance and the sport setup is much firmer. The control unit tunes the dampers for the selected mode to reduce roll and pitch and to increase contact between the wheels and the road.

For extra safety in this cabriolet, two spring-loaded roll-over bars are neatly incorporated behind the rear seats. The roll-over sensor is continuously monitoring the cars pitch and roll and contact with the road. If the car were to overturn, the roll over bars would be deployed instantly.

Driver and passenger airbags, side impact protection beams, head airbag and energy absorbing elements on the dashboard all add a feeling of security while behind the wheel.

The GT3 is quite a monster and I found this GTS to be much more enjoyable on an everyday drive. In normal mode, comfort is very evident, but adjust the suspension, open up the exhaust and this GTS feels like I have a beast on a leash.

This is my kind of car – not only is it enjoyable to drive every day, has incredible power and performance for the track, but I can also put the top down and feel the wind in my hair.

Nope, it doesn’t get much better than this.
