Should you buy a Routan?
I can't say that it would be a good idea. Chrysler's vans are typically less expensive and covered in incentives, deals and deep discounts. Volkswagen may have good financing rates, but the fact is that the Routan does not get the Stow n' Go magical seats. A big no-no.
The Routan is a phase that will come to an end shortly. 2013 should be the last model year for the VW-Chrysler minivan, so we should find out more about Volkswagen's future plans in the coming months.
Essentially, my conclusion is to pass on the Routan, lease a Grand Caravan, and come back to Volkswagen in 24 months.
