Miss: 2013 Buick Encore
Buick is bravely going where no Buick has gone before, into compact crossover territory. Smaller crossovers are a growing concern in almost every world market, so it makes good business sense for Buick.
But it’s particularly tricky for premium makers — the format doesn’t seem to lend itself to premium-looking vehicles. They can be bulbous, top-heavy, and the opposite of long, low, and sexy. The little Buick looks pretty good for what it is, but I definitely wouldn’t call it eye candy.
Like all new-generation Buicks, however, the 2013 Encore’s interior is a thing to behold, with great materials, elegant colours, and controls that are welcoming and not intimidating.
