According to Tom Doll, Executive Vice President of Subaru of America, the redesigned 2012 Subaru Impreza will hit the market in late summer. Given the timeline, there's a pretty good chance the official debut of the production car will take place at the New York International Auto Show (April 22 - May 1, 2011).
The Impreza Concept was unveiled back in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It marked a significant departure from the current-generation model with a much more aggressive look. All-wheel drive and the Forester's 2.5-litre boxer engine were part of the mix as well.
The Big Apple seems like an obvious choice considering that Subaru last introduced the Impreza at the NYIAS in 2007.
