Summary
The Cadillac Escalade is the only hybrid-powered full-size luxury SUV in the market. Its combined fuel-economy rating of 9.5 L/100 km may raise some eyebrows, but the fact is that for a vehicle weighing 2,776 kilograms, the numbers are actually quite good. In fact, it nearly beats the Dodge Grand Caravan rating, which is not too shabby at all. It holds eight passengers in luxurious comfort.

Fuel economy ratings for the 2013 Escalade hybrid are a reported 10.4/8.5/9.5 L/100 km (city/highway/combined). In comparison, the gasoline-powered ESV version consumes 17/11.4/14.5 L/100 km.
Exterior and Interior Styling
The 2013 version is identical to the 2012 model. It has aged quite well considering the fact that this design was first introduced back in 2007. The huge front grille is so ominous that it obscures the full-size headlights, which are barely noticeable.
The passengers are treated to the same oversized comfortable seats, along with 3rd-row, 3-passenger, flip-and-fold 50/50 split-folding bench seat (removable).
Among the many technological goodies are a DVD-based Navigation System for map coverage in Canada and the US with voice recognition, optional rear-seat 2nd- and 3rd-row overhead LCD colour monitors (8 in.), DVD player, auxiliary audio/video jacks on rear of centre console, MP3 compatibility, 4 wireless headphones and remote control along with Sirius satellite radio.

The 2013 Cadillac Escalade hybrid offers a generous 479 litres of cargo room behind the third row of seats, 1,708 when the third row is removed, and a whopping 3,084 with lowered second and removed third row.
