Ford will be lifting the veil on a completely redesigned Mustang for 2013 and, judging by the preliminary info, we’re looking at quite the spectacular machine.
Style-wise, the new muscle car will feature the wider upper grille and smaller, rounder lower grille of the Shelby GT500. LED fog lights and new lamps will also be thrown in for good measure.
Now for the serious stuff. The 3.7-litre V6 and 5.0-litre V8 will both b back, the latter benefiting from a slight power boost putting it on par with the Camaro SS. We’re looking at 425 ponies in all likelihood for the GT.
The Shelby GT500 will benefit from the greatest changes, though, its supercharged V8 going on steroids and punching out 620 hp instead of 550.
The official unveiling of the 2013 Mustang is set for November, at the LA Auto Show.
