The 3.0L turbocharged V6 under the hood of the 2014 Audi SQ5 produces 354 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque, leading to 0-100 km/h acceleration in 5.3 seconds, along with a top speed of 250 km/h.

Power is routed through an 8-speed Tiptronic autobox and Audi's legendary quattro all-wheel drive system. Fuel consumption amounts to 13.2L/100km in the city and 8.5L/100km on the highway.

The 2014 Audi SQ5 comes in two trim levels: Progressive ($57,000) and Technik ($59,600).

Inside and Out of the 2014 Audi SQ5
This high-performance variant of the Q5 visually stands out with three new paint options, matte black roof rails, aluminum side mirrors, a rear spoiler, quad exhaust with chrome tips, and satin black accents. The 20” titanium wheels (21” wheels are available) are wrapped in performance rubber. Similar to every other S model in the lineup, the 2014 Audi SQ5 sports a platinum grille with dual horizontal blades.

Meanwhile, the sportier-looking interior features a three-spoke, flat-bottom, multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters, leather seats with contrast stitching, grey instruments with white needles, aluminum pedals, and a leather/aluminum shift knob.

The trunk can swallow 540 litres of cargo or 1,560 litres with the rear seats folded.

As for safety, the 2014 Audi SQ5 relies on stability control and electronic differential lock (among others) to improve handling. In the event of a collision, six airbags can deploy, while a system automatically cuts the fuel supply, unlocks the doors, and activates the hazard lights.
