A new design, a new engine, and new technologies. These are highlights of the fully redesigned 2017 Kia Forte, which made its debut yesterday at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Motivated by a new 2.0L 4-cylinder mill with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, the next-generation Forte is more powerful than its predecessor while offering better fuel economy.

In terms of styling, the revised front fascia includes a larger interpretation of Kia’s Tiger Nose grille, which also connects with new headlights. Three trim levels are available (S, LX, EX), and depending on the one you select, you can have 17” wheels, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, a Smart Key system, as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

Production of the new 2017 Kia Forte will begin shortly. Pricing will be announced at a later date.
